The Roman number C|Ↄ|ↃCCXV uses the apostrophus notation (C|Ↄ = M = 1000; |Ↄ = D = 500) and is equivalent with MDCCXV which stands for 1715 (1000+500+100+100+10+5). It looks like the letter X was installed upside down.
